Money Talk

Let's not fool ourselves. Money buys everything. Love. Happiness. Loyalty. Peace of mind. Standard of living, Health care. Respect. Power and influence. The list goes on. The more money you acquire, the more important you become, the more you can afford and the better life you will have. Simple. So why do some people pretend otherwise? Probably just to make themselves feel good about having nothing and to justify their existence. Of course, it shouldn't be the case that you are judged solely on the size of your bank balance but, unfortunately, that's exactly how it is. All the things you need must be bought.

You can't even get a drink of water without paying for it. You think air is free? Not if you want to live somewhere where it's clean and safe to breathe. There are lots of good things in life but have you heard what you need to do to attain them? That's money talk. Listen - it's trying to tell you something.

You recognise the eager smile

You can tell it all by the way she walks

Like a red light, see her coming for a mile

Don't say a word, money talks

Buy the girl a pretty dress

Buy yourself a warm caress

Buy yourself some happiness

You can take her home tonight

Never wasting time, never looking back

You don't need the music and the moonlight

Money is an aphrodisiac

It's something that she can't ignore

Buy her everything and more

But you get what you're paying for

Oh, you must have heard money talk

Spend it by the word, money talk

See the world grow cold and dark

When it's pouring down like rain

It'll buy what you never had

You've got no drive unless you're power mad

It's alright, just you get some of that

Gold rushing through your veins

You don't have to prove yourself to anyone

You'll do fine just the way you are

The magic goes on and on and on

And on anybody's lips it's wunderbar

You could fly across the sea

You could buy a memory

You could live in fantasy

Oh, you must have heard money talk

Spend it by the word, money talk

See the world grow cold and dark

When it's pouring down like rain

It'll buy what you never had

You've got no drive

Unless you're power mad

It's alright, just you get some of that

Gold rushing through your veins
